About Altus Financial
Altus Financial is a marketing and technology platform that introduces you to two independently licensed insurance producers. The LLC is not an insurance agency. The producers you meet on this site are the producers you work with.
Our Story
Altus Financial is the shared brand and platform that Benjamin Minifie and Stanislav Lisovskiy use to publish educational content, host client relationships, and offer a single coordinated experience. The planning-first philosophy is theirs; the platform exists to support it.
The producers' individual clients come to them for life insurance, individual disability income insurance, and income and fixed annuities — the tools that protect a paycheck, a family, or retirement income. Their business-owner clients come to them for buy-sell funding, business valuation, business consulting, and executive bonus plans. Many clients use the producers for both, because the household and the business rarely stay separate for long.
The producers stay in a lane they understand. They do not sell variable or indexed annuities, do not draft legal agreements, and do not prepare tax returns. For legal drafting and tax filing, they coordinate with your own attorney and CPA. That keeps the advice focused and the scope honest.
How the work gets done
Three principles drive every engagement.
Plain language — we explain it until it makes sense.
Insurance and succession planning are full of jargon. The producers translate the contracts, the tax language, and the mechanics into terms you can repeat to your spouse or business partner without a glossary.
Honest scope — we say what we do and what we don't.
The producers are licensed insurance producers and business-planning advisors — not attorneys or CPAs. Where their work ends and your other advisors pick up is put in writing before you sign anything.
Documented assumptions — you see the math.
Valuations state the methodology used. Insurance illustrations state the carrier assumptions. Planning memos state what the producer relied on. If an assumption changes, you know what to revisit.
Who You'll Work With
You work directly with Benjamin Minifie or Stanislav Lisovskiy — both licensed Life, Accident & Healthinsurance producers. There's no call center and no account rotation: the producer you start with is the producer who services your plan.
Benjamin Minifie

Ben's path into financial services isn't the typical one — he spent fourteen years as a professional chef before making the switch. What drew him in was a long-running fascination with how people build things: how they take what they have, put the pieces together, and create something bigger. That same curiosity about craft and construction is what he brings to his work with clients today.
Ben works primarily with business owners — a natural fit given his own background watching his mother leave a career in engineering to launch her own company. Growing up between two very different views of work and money (his father's steady 401(k) path and his mother's entrepreneurial leap) gave him an early appreciation for the complexity of real financial lives. His approach is comprehensive and deeply committed; he's upfront that his level of service isn't right for everyone, but for the clients who want a true partner, he goes all in.
Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, Ben still calls the region home. Outside of work, he spends his time with his wife and two kids, cooks whenever he gets the chance, and can usually be found at the gym.

Stanislav Lisovskiy
Licensed Life, Accident & Health Insurance Producer
Stanislav joined Altus Financial to do what drew him to this profession in the first place: help real families build real financial security. The son of first-generation immigrants, Stas grew up seeing the consequences of a financial education gap that too many households quietly navigate on their own — an experience that shaped his belief that thoughtful guidance, delivered with genuine care, can change the trajectory of a family for generations.
Stas works primarily with business owners, entrepreneurs, experienced professionals, and families. His approach is deliberately personal: rather than starting with a plan, he starts with the people behind it — understanding what matters most to them, what they hope to build, and what they want to protect.
A graduate of Westfield State University, Stas has called Western Massachusetts home for 20 years. He's passionate about financial education and coaches families in his community on the path toward security and peace of mind. Outside of work, he's an avid traveler, a dedicated fitness enthusiast, and a lifelong reader and film lover.
